This Tuesday saw the inauguration of the IPS Hernandarias Health Unit, which has several services for the institution’s insured.
The infrastructure was built with a investment of Gs. 32,957,996,396 and has the services of; cardiology, neurology, ophthalmology, gastroenterology, traumatology, clinical medical pediatrics, general surgery, anesthesiology, pulmonology and neonatology, mastology; with a family medicine team to enhance the prevention and control of chronic patients.
It also has a central operating room, an obstetrics-gynecological operating room, a delivery room, medical offices and hospital rooms.

The IPS reported that for the medical clinic service the insured have six rooms, totaling 13 beds. General surgery with 3 beds; gynecology and obstetrics with 6 beds and pediatrics with 6 beds. In the emergency area there are a total of 6 beds distributed as follows: 3 for pediatric emergencies, 3 for adult emergencies, an obstetric emergency room, a triage room, 1 office for adult emergencies; and 1 office for pediatric emergencies.

Likewise, there will be a 24-hour internal and external pharmacy, a 24-hour automated laboratory and radiology service, fetal monitoring ultrasound service, PAP and colposcopy; general ultrasound and electrocardiogram.

The Sanitary Unit also has a Office of Employer Worker Contribution (AOP) as well as with
an Oxygen Plant, It has a production capacity of 2×40 Nm3/h (Total 80 Nm3/h) assisting some 267 daily patients with a consumption of 5 liters per minute per patient.
