Ciudadanos, the majority sector of the Colorado Party, proposed Senator Pablo Lanz to occupy the vice presidency of Antela place that became vacant after the assumption of Robert Bouvier as Environment Minister.

“Pablo Lanz has a career of more than 25 years at OSE, one of the most important entities in the country. Timely assisted directors at OSE and ANCAP, accumulating experience in the public service and in particular in decision-making in public companies“, the sector assured in a statement.

“For these reasons, he has the personal and functional suitability necessary for such an important task and the absolute support of our sector in a position of political confidence“, they added.

“Pablo Lanz will continue the work carried out by Robert Bouvier with a strong emphasis on promoting universal accessibility to telecommunications services, highlighting the improvement in coverage throughout the national territory and the installation of fiber optics in dozens of
inland towns”, they concluded.

Lanz is a Florida leader who currently holds the bench in the Senate to which he will return Adrian Pena after his resignation from the Ministry of Environment.

Although Lanz’s name was handled at first, it then lost strength and returned to the top of the table in recent weeks –as reported by Búsqueda– when the The leader conveyed his willingness to analyze the possibility and discuss it with members of his political group in Florida.

At the beginning of the government Lanz was appointed as General Director of Rural Development of the Ministry of Livestock, Agriculture and Fisheries (MGAP)a position he resigned once Peña moved to the Ministry of the Environment due to the departure of Ernesto Talvi from the Foreign Ministry.
