The head of the Venezuelan Diplomatic Mission in South Korea, Arturo Gil, held a meeting on Tuesday with the Minister of Economy and Finance of that country, Choo Kyung-ho, in which he raised the need to eliminate unilateral economic sanctions and its impact on the global economy.
Kyung-Ho also serves as deputy prime minister for economic affairs of the asian nation.
In the account of the South Korean embassy on the Instagram social network, it was reported that, during the meeting, they addressed “the need to eliminate from the international system the so-called economic sanctions that are applied unilaterally, and that prevent the stability of the global economy and the security of supply chains”.
South Korea and Latin America
The meeting coincides with a meeting held in Seoul with the ambassadors of 18 Latin American countries.
In this activity, ways to strengthen economic cooperation after the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between South Korea and 15 Latin American countries, which was held last year, were discussed, reports AVN.
For his part, according to south korean agency, Minister Kyung-ho proposed to continuously expand trade networks between South Korea and Latin America. In addition, he presented future cooperation measures, such as increasing the quality of trade and investment, response to supply chains and climate change, and infrastructure development.
Likewise, he stressed the will of the Government of South Korea to contribute to the resolution of the common challenges of human beings, such as climate change, the digital divide and social polarization, through the organization of the World Expo 2030.
