The Public Ministry charged the crime of harassment or harassment to Víctor Hugo Méndez Tovar, president of the College of Psychologists of Miranda, according to judicial sources.
This person was denounced by Rusdeiba Coromoto Agelvis García, who went to the Comprehensive Approach Service for Victims of the Crime of Gender Violence of the Public Ministry where he explained that Méndez Tovar has a public campaign presenting her on social networks as a person who illegally practices psychology . The complainant is an Administrator with a master’s degree in the area of neuropsychological approach to autism spectrum disorder.
As a result, the Public Ministry opened the file MP-15963-2022 and summoned Méndez to be charged, a procedural act held on January 20 before the 2nd Control Court of Miranda with jurisdiction over Crimes of Gender Violence located in Los Teques, Miranda. Prosecutors Isnal Guedez and Hazel Jiménez exposed the different publications in which Méndez allegedly denigrates Agelvis García, which threatens “his emotional stability,” according to the minutes of the prosecution hearing.
The crime of harassment or harassment carries a penalty of 10 to 22 months in prison, according to article 54 of the Organic Law on the Right of Women to a Life Free of Violence.
