The House of Capitulation and the Quinua Site Museum will be inaugurated in Ayacucho (Photos)

In the Month of the Craftsman, the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (Mincetur), through the National COPESCO Plan, will shortly inaugurate, in Ayacucho, the conditioning works for the exhibition of historical pieces of the House of Capitulation and the Museum of Quinoa site.

The National COPESCO Plan has invested more than S/ 3 million in museography and infrastructure works, which will allow emblematic places of the Independence of Peru to be put into operation.

In the museographic script, the historical participation of the property is highlighted, when on December 9, 1824 it was the scene of the signing of the Capitulation, with which the Independence of Peru was sealed, after the Battle of Ayacucho.

All areas of the museum have been intervened: the Capitulation House, craft sales and promotion room, control office, administration, visitor reception, war material exhibition room, popular art exhibition room and two rear courtyards.

Likewise, the museography has panels in Braille language, replicas of murals in high relief, projection of the Battle of Ayacucho, panoramic and illuminated showcases, canvases of relevant characters of the Independence of Peru, contemporary crafts, among other outstanding characteristics, which have meaning an investment of S/ 900 thousand.

It is worth mentioning that in November 2021, the infrastructure improvement work was delivered, with a budget of S/2.2 million.

With the intervention of the National COPESCO Plan, the Quinua Site Museum is one of the most inclusive in the country, due to its design that facilitates access for all people. It has been equipped with an elevator for the disabled, to facilitate the movement of wheelchairs.

The Casa de la Capitulación and the Museo de Sitio de Quinua are part of the tourist circuit of Ayacucho for their historical and cultural content.
