Grupo Aval presented this Monday, March 6, its financial report, in which it reported profits of $2.48 trillion, at the end of 2022. For its part, the return on average equity (Roae) was 14% and the yield of the average assets (Roaa) was 1.6% in 2022.
Grupo Aval said that the results in the first quarter of 2022 included a Extraordinary profit of $724,000 million, resulting from the spin-off of 75% of BHI by Banco de Bogotá.

The company stated that during the fourth quarter, Banco de Bogotá participated in the public offering of shares and additionally sold 21% of BHI, which resulted in an extraordinary loss in the results of Grupo Aval of $678,000 million.
During the year, both transactions resulted in an extraordinary profit of $46,000 million.

The entity further said that to facilitate analysis of 2022 results, 2021 figures were expressed on a pro forma basis to reflect consolidated figures excluding BHI’s contribution.
As such, Grupo Aval’s consolidated loan portfolio grew 18.1% in 2022 (4.1% in the last quarter).
During the year, the consumer portfolio grew 17%, the commercial portfolio 18.3%, and the mortgage portfolio grew 21.8%.
Total deposits grew 17% in 2022, portfolio quality improved during 2022; Portfolio quality over 30 days improved 30 basis points, from 4.65% to
4.35%.

Portfolio quality over 90 days improved 38 bps to 3.25%.
Total assets as of December 31, 2022 amounted to $295.5 trillionshowing an annual increase of 16.2% versus total pro forma assets as of December 31, 2021 and 3.4% versus September 30, 2022.
The growth of assets was driven mainly by an annual growth of 21.5% in the loan portfolio, net amounting to $179.1 trillion.
