Judith Pena | March 6, 2023

Health Minister Luis Francisco Sucre announced that the technical team of the Ministry of Health (Minsa) is carrying out the necessary evaluations to determine the possibility of eliminating the mandatory use of the mask on public transport and health facilities.

According to Sucre, in recent weeks the cases of respiratory diseases, including Covid-19, have been decreasing considerably, so the strict measures can be reduced in the same way.

He stressed that they will wait for the results of the analyzes of the next 2 weeks to present the proposals of the health team to the President of the Republic Laurentino Cortizo Cohen and that he be the one to determine whether to eliminate the use of the mask or not.
