Consulted in a televised interview about a new presidential candidacy, former President Sebastián Piñera ruled out any possibility, noting that it is not in his plans.

“I have been President of Chile twice. I will never stop thanking my compatriots for the honor and responsibility they gave me and I have no pretense of a new candidacy,” said the former president, in conversation with the Mesa Central program of Channel 13.

Regarding the new constituent process, Piñera said he will be active collaborating “with ideas, with contributions, with content. I am going to participate and support them in their campaigns, but not from the front line”, he pointed out.

“I do not know what the other former presidents are going to do, I am going to be active. I am going to collaborate with ideas, with contributions, with content, I am also going to participate and accompany them in their campaigns, but not from a front line, for example , I will not be in the stripes, “he reiterated.
