A 26-year-old woman, identified as Delicia Torrez S., she was found dead at her home this Sunday morning, in the municipality of San Julián in the department of Santa Cruz.
The victim’s mother reported that her daughter’s boyfriend, named Edgar AZ, was the one who came crying to her home to tell him that his girlfriend had hanged herself after they had an argument.
The woman said that it was at that moment that she found out that his daughter had a partner, since she was a single mother of two children whom she raised alone. She pointed out that she did not know of that relationship.
“He only took my daughter on his shoulders, asking for help; she said that she had hanged herself. I asked her who she was and she replied that he was her boyfriend. I ask for justice for my daughter’s children,” the woman exclaimed.
According to the testimony of one of Delicia’s cousins, the defendant arrived at the address where his partner lived in the early hours. There, allegedly, he forced her to drink some alcoholic beverages. and later he came to hit her. All this occurred in the presence of the children; the oldest of them told what happened.
The relatives filed the complaint with the San Julián Police, for which The agents proceeded to arrest the man, for investigative purposes.
The lifeless body of the woman was transferred to the judicial morgue of the Pampa de la Isla in the capital of Santa Cruz.
On Sunday night, the relatives informed the media that the forensic examination threw that Delicia died from mechanical asphyxiation. The Public Ministry investigates the case.
