San Cristóbal de Las Casas, Chis., With the argument that the immigration authorities have taken a long time to deliver documents that allow them to transit to the northern border of the country, around 250 migrants of different nationalities left Tapachula yesterday in a caravan.

In the afternoon, men, women and children arrived in the municipality of Tuzantán, after having walked around 40 kilometers under intense sun, according to police sources.

The sources recalled that on Tuesday another group of 300 migrants left that disintegrated two days later because they took transportation to move towards the center of the country.
