Serious complaint. Carlos Marina, a former worker of the Congress of the Republic, denounced having been conditioned in his work stage to make payments to third parties for the sum of 1,500 soles as a “voluntary” contribution for humanitarian causes such as the protection of children in a state of vulnerability. Marina Puscan affirms that the money was received by the main adviser to parliamentarian Magaly Ruiz, from Alianza para el Progreso (APP). This case should be seen soon in the Ethics Commission, which is precisely Ruiz Rodríguez.
Alleged delivery of money was in cash
The also communicator, who had the position of assistant to the Child Protection Commission, assures that the economic contribution was delivered monthly by means of a sealed envelope in a congressional room with restricted access. Payment was exclusively in cash.
In turn, the person who received the money was Jhonny Romero, principal adviser to this APP legislator. Regarding this, according to Carlos Marina, when he began to make the payment of 1,500 soles, they told him that he had the purpose of making “petty cash” for the commission.
However, time passed and different activities were carried out in favor of children who had a serious state of health and other conditions, such as cancer, burns, assistance in shelters, etc.
In this sense, a great campaign would arrive that the Child Protection Commission carried out for the Almenara hospital. Then, according to what Carlos Marina expressed, they would again request the delivery of economic amounts for these purposes, for which he would question that payments had already been made previously. As a result of this position of the former Parliament worker, it would be Jhonny Romero who removed him from his position.
As if that were not enough, Carlos Marina also revealed that, as there were various questions about these requests, which would configure an alleged collection of quotas in Parliament, the adviser to the legislator Magaly Ruiz himself assured him that the money was destined for the APP congresswoman because she was in campaign debt.
Complaint is already in Ethics
Finally, the former congressional official made the corresponding complaint to the Mayor’s Office and Human Resources; that is, this case is already in the Ethics Commission, waiting for it to be resolved as soon as possible. It should be noted that said working group is made up of Magaly Ruiz herself.
