On that occasion, the Chilean government signed the Incorporation Agreement and expressed its intention to become a full member of CAF as soon as possible. The head of the Treasury recalled that Chile was one of the founders of this organization created in 1970, and after disengaging in 1977, it rejoined in 1992 and since then has remained an associate member. Precisely, from tomorrow and until Thursday, March 9, Chile will be the host country of various CAF activities.

In addition, it is worth mentioning that, together with the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), the Development Bank of Latin America (CAF) announced the donation of resources to fight forest fires and for the subsequent reconstruction of the south-central zone of the country.

Julián Suárez, vice president of CAF and representative of the organization in Chile, participated a few days ago in the first “Weekly El Mostrador Summit“.
