With the empty seat of the executive secretary, Lorenzo Córdova opened the extraordinary session of the general council of the National Electoral Institute (INE) called to appoint Roberto Cardiel in charge of the office of that position occupied until last Wednesday by his friend Edmundo Jacobo Molina, dismissed ipso facto with the publication of plan B.
As soon as the procedures for verifying the quorum and the presentation of the first of the two scheduled points had passed, Córdova’s face reddened, a prelude to the rain of accusations that would come in the following three hours against the two representatives of Morena in the table, Eurípides Flores and Hamlet García… and vice versa.
Yesterday morning the president counselor not only sharpened his razor to shave, after a few months of walking around with a grown beard, but to focus another battering ram towards the reform, only for this Friday it was already in force, whose transitory orders the general council form a technical committee to adapt, no later than August, the entire structure to the new standards.

And with the point of defense of Jacobo Molina, operator of the INE for 14 years, he warned that the entry into force of the reform gives them the banner to start the legal battle against the flagrant constitutional violation

and that the courts will restore the rule of law.

When the turns of the morenistas arrived, Flores accused the councilors of being part of of the electoral mafia
and to go out before public opinion to present the face of defenders of democracy, when his only intention, he told them, is to continue with the privileges of golden bureaucracywith their high salaries in this INE gastalon
.
In another part of the session, neither Córdova nor Ciro Murayama responded to the question of how much they will receive in settlement, although the president pointed out that they should not eat cravings, that they will know as soon as they receive their check on April 3.
Without any modesty, knowing that there were press in the room, Córdova stared at Flores, crossed his arms and tensed his face. She also got up from her place, walked among the advisers and muttered mockery of Morena’s lawyers. And whenever she could, she bragged into the microphone that Jacobo would soon be back at her place.
Flores, sitting at one end of the so-called horseshoe of democracy, reviewed papers and rehearsed his oratory.
He told them that the reform is legal and legitimate, and his objective is to achieve “a true democracy in which the main actor is the people, not the INE, not Córdova, not Murayama and, of course, democracy is not Edmundo Jacobo, because that is the biggest confusion of the electoral mafia that is here in the INE and in some spaces of the Electoral Tribunal.
It’s time to find your place, counselors, electoral mafia, and it’s time to comply with the law, even if you don’t like it.

Flores replied, because talking about the electoral mafia is something we have done and I support it, there is an electoral mafia embedded in the INE
