The uncertainty is over. The Municipal Emergency Operations Committee (Coem) of Santa Cruz de la Sierra authorized this Thursday the carrying out of this year’s carnival activities in order to reactivate the regional economy.
The mayor, Jhonny Fernández, announced that there will be pre-carnival, the parade and the three days of wet weather, all with biosecurity measures.
The municipal authority reported that the numbers of infections and the progress of vaccination were analyzed.
“This led us to say that today the carnival in Santa Cruz is going to be carried out with a commitment from all the institutions that organize and participate in the carnival,” the mayor reported.
