The faction of Movadef masters He accuses the leftist movements – with which they marched in December and January to free Pedro Castillo – of betraying “the just struggles of the people”. But the most serious thing is that all this recalcitrant position can harm thousands of students, because, as they want to continue burning down the country, Fenatep – Movadef will promote an “indefinite national strike of the Peruvian teachers.” Something like the one that Castillo starred in in 2017 when he launched himself – to hide a fainting spell – on the asphalt of Abancay avenue.
As already reported Peru21on February 25 the Fenatep organized an “assembly” to discuss the steps to follow in the “fight to change the Constitution through a constituent assembly” and incidentally release the coup leader Pedro Castillo.
In this meeting – which was held virtually – it was confirmed that in December and January, Movadef was the coordinator of the mobilizations and had the CGTP and Patria Roja at its side. But – as is common in the radical left – it didn’t take long for them to break sticks and now Castillo’s union accuses them of being traitors.
“Disregard the acts of treason practiced by the CGTP and Sutep (Patria Roja) during the national strike on February 9, which, without any consultation, broke the mobilization and entered Congress to deal with these dictators and murderers,” they point out in a notice to its affiliates.
But the Movadef also lined up the batteries against the representatives of the Fenatep in Congress: the Magisterial Bloc. “In the same way, to repudiate the treasonous attitude carried out by the so-called ‘teachers’ bench that have crawled like snakes to preserve their personal golleries before the murderers of the people,” they subscribed in their pamphlet.
Although at first, during the meeting, it was also agreed to describe as “traitors” and “dragged” the “supposedly left-wing banks: Peru Libre, Peru Democrático and Juntos por el Perú”, this mention did not appear in the final communiqué that it was made public.
ENEMIES OF EDUCATION
Until yesterday, Fenatep – Movadef has only managed to enter Lima 9 buses from Puno and Madre de Dios with 60 passengers each for the so-called Toma de Lima. According to police sources, this new mobilization will be minimal, which is why the Shining Path union is now pursuing a new strategy: blocking the restart of school classes.
“An agreement has been reached for us teachers to join the indefinite national strike from day 3, but this would start the following week, on March 5 or 6,” said Mario Zapana Palomino, leader of Fenatep in Puno.
This is confirmed by an office to which Peru21 He had access where “all teachers are called to organize and implement assemblies in each educational institution, in each district, province and region with the purpose of assuming this measure of struggle.”
From Trujillo, Lucio Castro, national secretary of Sutep, clarified that the more than 400,000 teachers affiliated with the historic teachers’ union – which Fenatep wants to destroy – have not agreed to block the start of school classes.
“It is Mr. Castillo’s union that is ashamed to say I am Fenatep and they use the name of Sutep to say that they are calling for a national strike,” Castro said. “The school year must begin with a call to attention to the serious problems that education has and we have made this known to the ministry,” he added.
Lucio Castro is right, some Fenatep leaders still find it difficult to say the name of their union to attract teachers and continue to use the name of the historic Sutep. Fenatep offers a change to the country’s teachers, but what it doesn’t tell them is that its roots are in Sendero Luminoso and in its plans they still have Gonzalo thought as a guide to lead the country into chaos. On this occasion, through the sabotage of education.
KEEP IN MIND
- The CGTP, a Cusco affiliate, responded to Fenatep and branded them as opportunists and sectarians. “The radical leaders of Fenatep return from their long vacations issuing an opportunistic and sectarian statement against the unions that have been fighting against the coup promoted by Boluarte,” they said.
