They burn alive an alleged motorcycle thief in Caravelí

In a confusing incident, Martín Pacompia Díaz (38) was burned alive in the district of Huanuhuanu in the province of Caravelí.

Witnesses said that a subject poured gasoline on him after accusing him of trying to steal a motorcycle.

Due to the severity of his burns, he was transferred to the hospital. Nazca Hospital, where he died.

INVESTIGATE. The incident was reported in Curipay mine around 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, when Martín Pacompia would have had an argument with Julían Huayhua (47) because the latter would have accused him of trying to take his motorcycle.

Huayhua allegedly doused the man’s body with gasoline and then set it on fire, ending with second and third degree burns. The locals took him to the Nazca hospital where minutes later he died.

Police officers arrested the alleged murderer, who in his defense Julian Huayhua stated that he acted in that way out of self-defense, as he accused the deceased of trying to steal his motorcycle.

Despite this, the Police transferred him to the police station in order to continue with the investigations.
