Youth in Action 2023: step by step so you can access help

The President’s Government Gustavo Petro will begin the transfer of resources for the beneficiaries of the program Youth in Action version 2023which seeks to help young Colombians for their higher education studies at all levels (professional, technical or technologist).

It is worth clarifying that the requirements to access this benefit granted by the Government are:

– Be between 14 and 28 years old.

– Being a bachelor of secondary vocational education (11th).

– Not having a professional university degree.

– Be within, at least, one of the targeting phases of the program that certifies their situation of vulnerability or poverty: Family Welfare census lists, indigenous census lists or current registration in the Sisbén.

(Further: SUEduExpo 2023 Fair: Study abroad, it is possible).

For this 2023, the transfers that this program will grant will be made every two months, as it had been done since last 2022. However, since the sixth payment cycle of 2022 was made in the month of January, it is expected that the first draft of this year will be done in the month of March. You can find out the exact date on the Social Prosperity web portal.

In the same way, a text message will be sent to the beneficiaries, which will notify them of the date and place to claim the incentives of the program.

Those interested and who meet the requirements can register in the official website of the entity.

(We recommend: Flexible education, another way to reduce gaps).

Then, to continue the process, have these following recommendations:

1. Review the location and contact information, as this will make it easier to keep an eye on the news of the program.

2. Select appropriately the institution of higher education (IES) and the program in which you are advancing your studies.

3. When you receive username and password, change the password to one for personal use.

4. Upload a photocopy of the double-sided identity document and the diploma or certificate of academic bachelor’s degree. The file must not be larger than 512 kB.

5. Only registration for the program will be received if your IES confirms if you are enrolled.

6. Payments will begin as soon as the verification of the attached documents by Prosperidad Social is complete. The amount that will be delivered is 400 thousand pesos.
