CUDIM continues to sign agreements

Some 150,000 users of Military Health will access magnetic resonance studies at CUDIM

The Minister of National Defense, Javier García, highlighted the agreement that will make it easier for a target population of 150,000 members of Military Health to carry out magnetic resonance studies at the Uruguayan Center for Molecular Imaging (CUDIM). Reduced delay, diagnostic improvements with state-of-the-art equipment, and training of human resources are additional advantages, he considered.

Also participating in the signing of the agreement, held yesterday Thursday the 16th at the Military Hospital, were the Undersecretary of Public Health, José Luis Satdjian; the National Director of Health of the Armed Forces, Hugo Rebollo, and the General Director of CUDIM, Pablo Duarte.

The agreement grants benefits for the health care of the users of the National Integrated System and establishes that the CUDIM will carry out magnetic resonance studies with qualified personnel to Health users of the Armed Forces, in addition to enabling the training of its personnel.

“Both institutions win, but more those who need it the most,” García said during the ceremony. Likewise, he stressed that there are 150,000 potential beneficiaries, who come mostly from the most humble social sectors and will have access to the best technology.

Rebollo, meanwhile, pointed out that the agreement will shorten the delay in medical treatment and improve diagnosis with superior equipment. In his speech, he appreciated that public actors work together to make the best use of material resources.
