The Ministry of Security revealed that 33 people allegedly linked to drug trafficking operations were apprehended during Operation Scorpion in Darién, Chiriquí, West Panama and in Panama in sectors of San Miguelito, Pacora and North Panama.
They stated that they have managed to determine the involvement of some of these people in thefts, deprivation of liberty and violent crimes carried out in the district of San Miguelito, between the months of December 2022 and January 2023.
This criminal group was also engaged in the mobilization of drugs using the Chame, Coronado and Santa Clara sectors as a reception center, later mobilized through double bottom vehicles to the capital city, specifically to San Miguelito.
