President Gustavo Petro met with the now former Minister of Education, Alexander Gaviria24 hours after announcing his departure during the presidential address on February 27.
According to sources from the Casa de Nariño, Petro and Gaviria had a lunch in which the former minister expressed his concerns about the health reformwhich was filed in the House of Representatives and is under discussion.

The President, for his part, He extended the invitation to Gaviria to continue giving his opinion and proposing contributions to the reform from the position he will occupy in the future.

Petro is also expected to do the same with the now former Sports Minister, María Isabel Urrutia, who expressed her disagreement with her abrupt departure from the government checkbook, which she described as “inelegant” because, according to her, she was not notified of this decision.

These meetings take place one day after the presidential address in which Petro announced to the country the departure of the three members of his initial cabinetfor which there is talk of a ministerial romp.
