The Minister of Foreign Relations Yván Gil will participate in the session of the Human Rights Council of the United Nations Organization. Gil met this Monday with the Minister of Justice, Legal Affairs and Parliamentarians of Zimbabwe
The Chancellor of the Republic, Yván Gil, arrived in Geneva, Switzerland, to participate in the 52nd session of the Human Rights Council of the United Nations Organization (UN).
The information was published on his personal Twitter account where he stressed that the Venezuelan delegation will expose in Geneva “the truth of a country that has tried to be subdued with criminal sanctions to threaten its good life.”

Gil met this Monday, February 27, with Zimbabwe’s Minister of Justice, Legal and Parliamentary Affairs, Ziyaambi Ziyamb, with the aim of deepening and strengthening bilateral relations.
“Fruitful meeting with the Minister of Justice, Legal Affairs and Parliamentarians of Zimbabwe, Ziyamb Ziyamb to whom we convey our best wishes to continue deepening our bilateral relations, sharing the defense of the United Nations Charter,” Gil said on the social network.

mandate renewed
On October 7, 2022, the United Nations Human Rights Council approvedwith 19 votes in favor and five against, extend the mandate for two more years of the Fact-Finding Mission on Venezuela, which is in charge of investigating serious violations committed in the country since at least 2014.
The resolution was presented by Paraguay before the Council, on behalf of five other countries and which also had the co-representation of another 48 nations, including some that are not part of this UN instance.
