The decision to carry out a calendar with 190 school days was taken in October 2021 at the 112th CFE assembly, chaired by Minister Jaime Perczyk, with the aim of “prioritizing learning affected by the Covid-19 pandemic and the recovery of school times”.

In Santiago del Estero School classes will begin on March 1 and will run until December 15.

In that province there are 43,000 students at the initial level, 140,000 in primary, and 77,500 in secondary.

The authorities indicated that the extension of hours in educational establishments at the primary level, which consists of a school day of 5 hours and 15 minutes, continues in full force.
