Rosario Central beat Godoy Cruz de Mendoza 1-0 this Friday, in a poor match played in a packed Gigante de Arroyito stadium, for the fifth date of the Professional League.

The goal was converted by midfielder Ignacio Malcorra, from a penalty, when the first half was averaging.

Central played poorly with the ball, made too many inaccuracies and lost a lot in the middle and even at the start, but he had the merit of defending himself well and, furthermore, hitting the best play of the game.

At minute 22 Kevin Ortiz -who lost almost all the ball- hit a masterful pass from left midfield to the right wing and Damián Martínez saved it with his chest and dribbled with that clean and jerk to Galdames, who touched it in the area, in a clear penalty that Malcorra changed for a goal.

Godoy Cruz was the antithesis of the Rosario team, because he played well with the ball, touched and searched for the flanks, but almost did not arrive, to the point that his clearest play was a left-footed shot from Galdames that grazed the left post after 13 minutes.

Central only came back after 43 minutes when the Colombian Campaz hit a terrific cross from the right and Véliz dove in, alone in the six-yard box. The attacker headed badly and threw it out, when he only had to hit the bow.

And in the third minute of discount when Campaz drew a great play in which he passed Pier Barrios, who touched him on the edge of the area, but the striker squandered the free kick.

The complement was an dispensable match, in which Central could only have increased after 40 minutes with a left foot shot from the admitted Bianchi, only from the left, which goalkeeper Diego “Ruso” Rodríguez saved, after Véliz lowered the ball from him. head.

Godoy Cruz had the ball at times and attacked from the left, but did not manage to kick a shot on goal, to the point that his best arrival was a high shot from the admitted Meli, after 47 minutes.

In the end, Bianchi had another chance in a counterattack in which Rasmussen touched him when he hit him with the other leg, after having dribbled him. The play deserved expulsion as a last resort, but Judge Echavarría did not even penalize the infraction.

Thus, with an orderly approach and in which he defended himself well, Central hit one of his few arrivals and fairly won his third game in a row at the Gigante de Arroyito,

This favorable streak had not occurred for a year and three months ago, when the team led by the then coach, Cristian ‘Kily’ González, successively defeated Patronato de Paraná (3-2), Racing Club (2-1) and Atlético Tucumán ( 3-1).
