“From the Health portfolio we have been monitoring the situation as well as Agriculture. We have had several outbreaks of dead birds but so far they are wild and backyard (corral). This means that until now it has had no impact on the commercial circuit ” , I indicate.

Agriculture is working on it also and from Salud we are working with the provinces to control the contacts of the birds that died and tell the population that if they see a dead bird they should not touch it or go near it, they just have to call Senasa” (National Service for Food Health and Quality).

When referring to the transmission of avian influenza, the head of the Health Portfolio clarified “It is not transmitted by eating food or eggs and no travel restrictions. Bird-to-human transmission is not very high and human-to-human transmission is not as sustained as SarsCov2, but we must all work together to minimize risks and prevent.

We have a high percentage of population vaccinated therefore the epidemiology situation is totally different”he claimed.

“We know that there will continue to be cases because the virus cannot be eliminated, that’s why they are so reinforcements are importantbut already in a different stage, in the first years that we had a new virus that was transmitted between people and where 100% of the population was susceptible and where we saw in certain places that the health system did not respond, but in our country responded,” he added.

“We know that there will continue to be cases but those cases, as long as we continue to provide reinforcements, we will notor they will move in hospitalizations and deaths,” precise the minister.
