The Judiciary scheduled a hearing on Thursday, March 2 in order to evaluate the request of the State Attorney General’s Office (PGE) to annul the fiscal interrogation carried out on the premier for the deaths registered during the violent protests between December 2022 and January of this year.

Prosecutor Daniel Soria’s argument is that the Public Ministry did not summon him to participate in the proceeding carried out on February 16 last.

The PGE is part of the criminal process to evaluate some civil reparation, since high public officials are the ones who were denounced for the crimes of genocide, qualified homicide and serious injuries. In this case, President Dina Boluarte is also being investigated.

Prosecutor sources told this newspaper that there would be no pronouncement from the Prosecutor’s Office and that the allegations will be exposed during the hearing called by Supreme Judge Juan Carlos Checkley.
