Diplomats from different countries of the European Union decided to raise the Ukrainian flag, thereby expressing their solidarity with the Ukrainian people, one year after the invasion by Russia.
This February 24th is fulfilled one year after Russia’s invasion of Ukraineordered at the time as a “special military operation” by the russian president Vladimir Putin.
Coinciding with this reminder, diplomatic representatives of Germany, Spain, the United States, France, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom and the European Union came together to express their solidarity with Ukraine.

In a solemn ceremony held at the Delegation of the European Uniona Raising of the Ukrainian flag and a minute of silenceby way of express their closeness to the Ukrainian people in this date.
“We commemorate today that a year ago Russia unilaterally and brutally invaded Ukraine. This violation is a direct attack on international law that is represented by the Charter of the United Nations.. We express our unity and solidarity to Ukraine and its people, ”said the Ambassador of the European Union, Javier García de Viedma.
