The defense of former prosecutor Jean Alain Rodríguez believes that there is no way that today, for the third time, the Third Investigating Court can advance the knowledge of the Preliminary Hearing against those accused of administrative corruption in the Medusa case, and accused the Public Ministry of delaying the process.
The lawyer Carlos Balcácer, legal representative of Jean Alain Rodríguez, blames the accusing body for the delay in the process, for the refusal he has had to deliver the documentation requested by the accused to assume his means of defense.
“There is no way for the audience to move forward, because the Public ministry He doesn’t want to, and we’re happy, because we need more time to be able to study the tests,” Balcácer specified.

“They hide their own evidence, even evidence as simple as Jean Alain’s affidavit,” he said.

The hearing, scheduled for 9:00 in the morning, always starts late, due to the large number of defendants, lawyers and members of the Public Ministry.
The former head of the PGR arrived at the hearing, he arrived punctually at the hearing that is known in the hall of the Civil and Commercial Chamber of the National District in the Court of Appeals building and then other defendants and lawyers entered.
It is such a complex hearing that even to organize the hearing it takes a lot of time, since you have to take roll and the lawyers have to present their qualities before the court, like the Public Ministry.
At this stage of the process, the judge of the Third Investigating Court of the National District, Amaury Martínez, must examine and weigh the quality and legality of the evidence to determine who is sent to trial and who benefits from a “No place”, for lack of evidence.
