The Seafood Market woke up today, February 24, the first Friday of Lent, crowded with Panamanians in search of the best offers of marine products to maintain the tradition of not eating meat during the Fridays that this religious tradition lasts, which culminates with Holy Week in the month of April.
That is why the Authority for the Protection and Defense of Competition (Acodeco) began its Lenten operation, to verify the price to the public and verification of the scales.
As a result of this operation, 4 weights that did not meet the requirements to be used were withdrawn.
It is expected that in all markets and product sales stalls they will be under the review of Acodeco to verify that the prices are correct for the public.
