The organism explained that the rains will occur especially in the afternoon and, according to the NMS“rainfalls of varied intensity accompanied by strong electrical activity and abundant waterfalls” are expected.

This way the yellow alert NMS applies to the southeast of the province of Buenos Aires, Misiones, Formosa, Chaco, part of Corrientes and Jujuy. There is also a warning for strong winds for Tierra del Fuego, Antarctica and the Falkland Islands.

In this area of the country, winds with speeds between 50 and 70 kilometers per hour and gusts that can exceed 90 kilometers per hour are expected, for which the agency recommended checking doors, roofs and windows to avoid damage.

Snowfall could also occur in the southern area.

It also recommends “avoiding outdoor activities, not taking out the garbage, removing objects that prevent water from draining and not taking refuge near trees and electricity poles that could fall.” It is also advised not to stay on beaches, rivers or pools.

In the province of Buenos Aires, the areas that will be most affected are: La Costa, Pinamar, Villa Gesell, the coast and west of General Pueyrredón, Ayacucho, Balcarce, General Guido, Maipú, Tapalqué, the lower area of Benito Juárez, the lower area and mountain area of Tandil, among others.

For the next week, no rain is forecast so far, and the thermometer is expected to mark between a minimum of 20°C and a maximum of 31°C. The hottest day will be Wednesday.
