The general manager of Dominican Edesur, Milton Morrisonassured today that for this year there will be no increase in the electric rate.
”In Dominican Edesur we are supplying around 99 percent of the demand,” he said.
When participating in a radio program, Morrison highlighted that Haiti is an opportunity of business for the Dominican Republic with the sale of energy, since this will allow the installation of companies and will mitigate Haitian migration.
”The best business of us is sell energy to haitibecause we are going to contribute to reduce the issue of migration,” he said.
He added that almost 25% of the energy supplied is lostbetween technical and non-technical losses, having this partly to do with energy theft.
