The myth of The Golden boosted the spirit of the conquerors who arrived at the Bolivian Orient hoping to find in these lands the material wealth that many of them had been denied in their places of origin. It is this question that tries to answer. opera El Doradoa musical show that, from the perspective of an apprentice notary, tells us since the arrival of Ñuflo de Cháves in America, the skills and difficulties for the first foundation of Santa Cruz and its subsequent transfers.
The opera El Dorado is a spectacle to be performed by singers and orchestraswhich was released in September of last year and is presented for the second time this sunday february 26 on the front of the municipal house of Culture Raúl Otero Reiche, from 20:30.
The show, which involves an important display of musicians, dancers and actors, is sponsored by the Municipal Secretary of Culture and will be open to all public and Free access.
Origins and development
“The idea arose in March 2022, as a proposal to entertain Santa Cruz in September. From that month on, I began to work on the composition, which is based on the script written by Porfirio Azogue, who is the director of the theatrical part,” he says. The show is divided into three acts. There is an overture that is the one with which the opera begins, then there are the three acts of the development of the story and each act is divided into three scenes.
