Through a statement, the OCMA clarified that the Third National Appeals Chamber annulled Pillaca’s resolution and, instead, ordered the annulment of the issued appearance and ordered that another magistrate hear the case.

In addition, the OCMA initiated a disciplinary procedure against Judge John Pillaca, the same one that is still pending before the control body that will soon announce its decision.

On the other hand, the OCMA specified in its statement that on December 12, 2022, the Executive Council of the Judiciary terminated the appointment of Pillaca Valdez as head of the Sixth National Preparatory Investigation Court of the National Superior Court of Specialized Criminal Justice. . She will now have to face her investigation before the OCMA.
