Jobs related to exports they added 4,115,162 at the end of last year, above the 4,000,046 of 2021, reported the Association of Exporters (Adex).
The result for 2022 was 1.7% higher than the previous year, however, the exporting union warned that half of the subsectors presented falls.
Among these, traditional mining, primary fishing, agro-industry, fishing for direct human consumption, textiles, wood and others stood out.
The activities that did grow were primary agriculture, hydrocarbons, clothing, non-metallic mining, iron and steel, chemicals and metal-mechanics.
“The most important was agribusiness with 1 million 600 thousand 628 jobs thanks to the largest offices of superfoodsalthough they presented a decrease of -1.2%, followed by traditional mining with 931 thousand 767 (fall of -14.8%) and traditional agriculture with 614 thousand 799 (44.1%) due to the greater demand for labor for processing and export of coffee and sugar”, stated the entity.
The good year that part of the export sector went through was affected in December, since that month jobs fell 16.1%, further accentuating the trend of November, a month in which there was a reduction of 9.9% compared to the same month of 2021.
