In “Grade 5”, René Gastelumendi refers to the recent accusations against Betssy Chávez.
René Gastelumendi recounts the most recent news related to Peruvian politics and, among these, is the situation of Betssy Chávez, after a witness implicated her in Pedro Castillo’s coup.
“The witness has told the Prosecutor’s Office that Betssy Chávez planned to publish a supreme decree, after Pedro Castillo’s announcement. A witness who witnessed the coup d’état carried out by the former president, on December 7, incriminated her,” he said.
It should be noted that in January, Betssy Chávez declared that she did not know the content of the message to the nation with which Castillo carried out the coup and assured that he “assumed” that he would deal with the third vacancy motion; However, the aforementioned witness stressed that the former president of the Council of Ministers reiterated her intention to issue a supreme decree and hugged the former president at the end of the announcement.
“This testimony compromises Betssy Chávez, who, in due process, will have to prove her guilt or innocence,” he said in this regard.
