On this occasion, according to the latest report from the National Fire Management Service (SNMF), there are forest fires in the provinces of Corrientes, Entre Ríos and Chubut; while the brigadistas managed to control the lights affecting Berazategui on the Hudson Reservation.
As reported by the agency this morning, the province of Corrientes is the most affected with three forest fires in General Paz (Puesto Lata), Ituzaingó (San Gara and La Negra Zone) and San Miguel (Carambola/Santa Julia).
For its part, in Entre Ríos a single focus remains active in Gualeguay (El Dorado and El Bronce), as well as in Chubut in the department of Cushamen (Matus).
Regarding the focus that until yesterday affected Berazategui in the Hudson Reserve, province of Buenos Aires, The brigade members explained that “the fire continues its activity, but due to the work carried out, the advance of the fire/front was stopped”.
The SNMF explained that in the same province “the Campana fire remained contained and the Tornquist and Ensenada fires in the Punta Lara Nature Reserve were under control, so in those two places it is considered that there is no possibility of regrowth.”
From the Ministry of Environment they have denounced on several occasions that, for the most part, the fire is intentionally caused, for which they urged the competent authorities to take measures and citizens not to carry out burnings, not throw garbage in green areas or materials that can serve as combustion, such as cigarette butts.
Efforts to fight the fires
From the SMNF they detailed that To combat the fire In Corrientes, a helicopter and two hydrant planes belonging to the agency operated, together with an additional hydrant plane from the province. Meanwhile, in the Iberá National Park, work was done with the support of a helicopter.
For their part, in Chubut they operated with an observer plane, a hydrant plane, two helicopters with buckets and a Chinook helicopter belonging to the SNMF. In addition, the work was supported by 15 combatants belonging to the South National Brigade.
