“Now, in Carnival we can stay in Caracas, because we have different options for enjoyment in the spaces that we have recovered and where we are deployed, offering fun and well-being to everyone,” said the mayor of the Libertador municipality, Carmen Melendez, in the display of joy and color on Carnival Saturday in the capital city.
As scheduled, on this first day of the year’s Shrovetide holiday, Caracas residents filled the Hugo Chávez Park, in La Rinconada; Sabana Grande Boulevard, Los Caobos Park, the Paseo Monumental de Los Próceres, Plaza Bolívar and other public spaces, which were filled with little papers, costumes, boys and girls running around and the joy of young people, adults and the elderly.

More than 550 activities in different axes of the city have been organized to guarantee happiness, entertainment, music and safety for the whole family.
“Overflow with joy, color and fun in these Safe Carnivals 2023, where the whole family enjoys aquatic spaces, courts and different attractions. “Girls, children, young people and adults, gathered in these recovered spaces, which welcome recreators, entrepreneurs and those who visit us,” said the mayoress through her social media account, @gestionperfecta.
He commented that all the activities are free. He invited the parades of the floats from different parishes that will be displayed on Carnival Monday and Tuesday, where awards will be made for the most colorful ones, as well as concerts Caracas rumbles that have been taking place since days before in various popular areas.

Also the Head of Government of Caracas (GDC), Nahum Fernandez, who accompanies the mayoress on inspection tours, said that the Venezuelan capital has an agenda for a holiday of happiness.
