This will depend on what is defined this morning after holding a new assembly, as reported by the Picket Unit. While, Minister Victoria Tolosa Paz has described the protest as “extortion” and accused the leader of the Polo Obrero, Eduardo Belliboni, of being “part of the construction of units that certify non-existent people.”.
“Picketing and extortion is not the consideration of Strengthening Work. Taking boys and girls, four-year-old boys and babies with their mothers to camp on July 9 is not either. It makes me very sad to see this Argentina where a sector of UP, to do politics and position itself in an election year, uses the poorest people,” said the minister.
And he added: “Complaints against the Piquetera Unit and the Polo Obrero are raining down for extortion, charging social quota for camping, requesting substitutes to march, compliance with the march as consideration.”
In addition, he stressed: “The ministry is not the ministry of the piqueteros, it is the Ministry of Social Development whose objective is public policies that guarantee that the most vulnerable sectors of Argentina can find the transfer of income to survive and have a plate of food in their homes.”
For their part, the social organizations demand that Tolosa receive them in his office, since the meetings that have been held with different ministry officials have not been able to unlock the conflict.
