After the residents of the Cambódromo prevented the Cruceño parade from taking place on this pedestrian promenade and the Cruceña Association of Carnaval Comparsas (ACCC) announced a new location for the parade, the obstacles did not stop. People Self-convened groups reached Roca and Coronado avenues to protest that they were not consulted to give the go-ahead for the event to take place in this residential area.
The tension began to rise in tone in the place as more neighbors arrived and self-summoned activists who consider that “There is nothing to celebrate”. Even, there was feint of fists against the workers hired to set up the tents and platforms.
Nevertheless, After several minutes of conflict, the neighbors reached an agreement with the people of the Asociación Cruceña de Comparsas Carnavaleras for the parade to take place under strict conditions: only the folkloric ballets and the float of the coronadora comparsa (Januchos Jr.) will be able to participate in the event, in addition the maximum time to conclude the event is 01:00 in the morning and, above all, they ask that they return the area just as clean as they found it.
