The Minister of Women, Gender and Diversity, Ayelén Mazzina, came across the statements of the General Auditor of the Nation, Miguel Ángel Pichetto, who affirmed that “they could have put a woman” in charge of said portfolio and invited him to talk on Comprehensive Sexual Education (ESI).

The head of the gender portfolio responded in this way to the attacks by Pichetto, who on Friday criticized the ministry led by Mazzina while referring to the murder of Lucio Dupuy and said that it is not commanded by a woman, since she is a lesbian.
“(The Ministry) is in the hands of a girl who is a lesbian, which is fine. I believe in individual freedom, I believe in the right to happiness, I voted for all the equality laws. But if it is the Ministry of Women, They could have put a woman in. And they could have made a coherent statement,” Pichetto told LN+ last night.
After the strong criticism that his statements received, the auditor general retracted on his social networks: “Given the misrepresentation of my statements on a television program, I want to clarify that my intention was to denounce that the Ministry of Women did not repudiate the murder of Lucio Dupuy for coinciding the sexual orientation of the minister with those of the perpetrators of the crime”.
However, the minister had repudiated the crime and, in dialogue with Télam, stressed the need to “break the silence on violence against children”.
“Today I am talking about Lucio to break the silence about violence against children, in a context of hostility, hate speech, with a right that makes public debate difficult for us,” said the minister in an exclusive interview with this agency.
The official worked so that “the focus, the axis of what is happening, is not lost. We must talk about violence against children, break the silence, we must not give up the word, and take charge that as a society, as adults, and as a State in particular, what happened is an aberrational fact”.
