Court of Appeals confirms preventive detention of co-author and concealers of “Lucho Plátano”, after murder of PDI official

Likewise, Olivares Barrios was charged with responsibility for the consummated crime of illegally carrying a firearm. Both were subject to the precautionary measure of preventive detention, because their freedom represented a danger to the security of society. Measure that Olivares Barrios will comply with in the Santiago Uno and Cofré Morales prison, in the San Miguel Women’s Penitentiary Center.

With this background, the High Complexity Prosecutor Milibor Bugueño, described as a success to maintain before the San Miguel Court of Appeals the preventive detention of the co-author and his concealers. “The appellate court dismissed the arguments of the defenses, based on the information presented by the Prosecutor’s Office. It should be noted that the main defendant in the case is still in preventive detention,” said the persecutor.
