According to the police report, Bustillo Castillo arrived at the shopping center in the company of José Luis Soza Méndez, they tried to open the door of the premises, when they could not enter, they threatened the worker of the place who gave them all the money with a firearm.

Motorcycle robberies don’t stop
With the support of videos from a security camera, the Chinandega Police tries to identify and find the whereabouts of two criminals who, on motorcycles and with a knife in hand, assaulted Elizabeth Darce, in the Monserrat neighborhood.

Ranchers report cattle theft

“Some of the bandits who stole the animals left for the United States, but it seems there are still others,” said Francisco José Martínez, a producer who owns 16 cattle in Tom Valle, who has reinforced the care of his cattle. because it is their unique way of surviving with the milk and young that they produce on their farm.
Cattle thefts have spread to the eastern regions of Chinandega. “They are taking the cows during the day and from the pastures. At the slightest carelessness and there is a stolen cattle”, commented José Alvarado, from Comarca La Bolsa.
Small farmers most affected
Ivania, an inhabitant of the La Bolsa region, was a victim of cattle theft, lost a cow that she had bought for 25,000 córdobas and was cared for by a brother. A loss that she regretted and hopes, the criminals will be arrested at any moment.
He says that he had to move from the house in the lower part of the community, to the land he owns on the slopes of Cerro El Chonco, to protect the ten animals because he does not want to continue losing them. So far, the authorities have not provided a response to these cases.
Last year, rustlers showed up at the farm of a small producer in El Valle Los Morenos, on the border with Chichigalpa. Since then, animal owners have been waiting for strangers who manage to enter, follow them up, capture them if they commit the crime, and turn them over to the authorities for prosecution.
On December 30, 2022, through operational service, the Second Regional Military Command, in the La Ceiba community, municipality of Somotillo, department of Chinandega, recovered 133 livestock that were illegally transferred through an unauthorized passage to the Republic of Honduras. The criminals fled when they noticed the presence of military personnel.
