Barahona.- Police agents arrested six alleged members of a dangerous criminal network that was dedicated to committing numerous crimes in Barahona.
During the arrest, carried out in the company of the Public Ministry, two firearms and three motorcycles were seized, among other devices.
The South Regional Directorate of the Police identified the alleged criminals as José Olivero Feliz, César Olivero Feliz, Jendri Báez Ferreras, Jordani Báez Ferreras, Erick Feliz and Luis Alfredo Acosta, all residents of this city.
The police report indicates that the crimes committed by the alleged group range from robberies, armed robberies, drug sales and motorcycle theft.
He explains that the six men were arrested by members of the Southern Regional Police Department attached to the Criminal Intelligence Sub-directorate (DINTEL) and the Public Ministry, in the framework of simultaneous raids carried out in the Baitoita and Imbert sectors of this city.
The first raid was carried out at the house of the named José Olivero Félix, in the Baitoita sector, where the gunTaurus brand, Cal. 9 millimeters, number TFW20742, which he carried without any document that supports its legality, as well as a bulletproof vest, two cell phones and military supplies.
During the second raid on a house on First Street in the same Baitoita sector, César Olivero was arrested, who was seized with a Taurus brand, model PT-92 pistol, which he was carrying illegally.
While in the third requisition of a house in the Imbert sector, where a certain Peque resides, the Yamaha brand pasola was seized, without documents.
In a fourth and final intervention carried out at another house in this town, the acting authorities seized the blue Suzuki motorcycle and the Yamaha pasola, the latter disarmed, as well as two scales and a knife.
According to the institution’s report, the firearms were sent to the Scientific Police for the purpose of the corresponding expertise to verify if they are linked to homicide cases.
As for the detainees and the seized evidence, they are under the power of the Public Ministry, for the purposes of submission to the action of justice.
