The main person in charge of the US Department of State for Latin America, Brian Nichols, condemned the withdrawal of the nationality of 94 other Nicaraguans, including the writers Sergio Ramírez and Gioconda Belli, as well as the auxiliary bishop of Managua, Silvio Báez.
“We condemn the actions of the Government of Nicaragua today to strip the nationality of another 94 Nicaraguan citizens”indicated the Assistant Secretary of State for Western Hemisphere Affairs, in a message.
