The Afores achieve capital gains of 151,318 million pesos in January

In 2022, the Afores had one of their worst years since they registered negative returns of 215,477 million pesos.

The context of high interest rates, high inflation and the war between Russia and Ukraine affected global markets, dragging down instruments such as Afores.

Unemployment withdrawals drop 10%

Unemployment withdrawals made by workers decreased 10.1% in January compared to withdrawals last December with 1,866.6 million pesos.

Unemployment withdrawals can be requested by those people who were in the formal sector and who have not worked for more than 60 days.

When making this type of withdrawal, weeks of contributions are discounted that can be restored later.
