This Wednesday, February 15, the Office of the Attorney General of the Nation reported that he had made statement of charges against four officials of the National Hydrocarbons Agency (ANH) due to possible irregularities in the payment of several contracts for the provision of services that would have occurred between 2017 and 2018.

The charges were filed against the Agency’s then administrative and financial vice president, Ingrid Yaneth Mejía Chaparro. However, this decision also covers the then technical vice presidents Carlos Jose Rodriguez Taborda (2018-2020) and Omar Alonso Mejía Tette (2017-2018), and the Vice President of the Vice Presidency of Operations, Royalties and Participations, Arnoldo Morales Delgado (2017-2018).
The control entity indicated that apparently the officials they would have signed contracts for the provision of services with different values to those established by the entity’s payroll table.

38 contracts would have been concluded, in 21 of which amounts would have been agreed upon in excess of those set, to the detriment of state patrimony, and another 17 would be below what was stipulated in the aforementioned document, affecting the contractor, says the Attorney General’s Office.

The entity affirmed that the actions of the former officials were provisionally classified as very serious as fraud.
