The death toll from the tragic accident of a bus carrying migrants in the Gualaca sector in the province of Chiriquí rose to 33, confirmed the authorities who are working to transfer the injured to medical centers in the province of Chiriquí.
The accident occurred around 4 in the morning when the driver passed the entrance to the shelter located in Los Planes de Gualaca and when trying to make the turn to return, the accident occurred.
The President of the Republic, Laurentino Cortizo, through his social networks regretted the accident and said that the national government is providing all medical attention to the survivors.
