Carabineros call on citizens to take care of their vehicles: “Today it is unthinkable not to have an insured car”

Faced with the increase in the fight against delinquency and organized crime that affects the country, Carabineros de Chile called on citizens to “self-care.”

Inspector General Carlos González Gallegos specified that to combat organized crime it must be carried out in a multifactorial way, where the important thing is the work of the police and the State, although with the collaboration of the people.

When detailing possible self-care, he expressed in an interview with 24 hours that “today it is perhaps unthinkable not to have a car insured due to the numbers of vehicle theft”.

González argued that these types of measures not only serve to ensure good, but also function as a contribution from citizens to police control.

“Police control is effective, the figures show the presence of the Carabineros, but we need the community not to unnecessarily expose itself to being a victim,” they added from the police institution.

Finally, the inspector general affirmed that the institution will continue advancing and working to curb organized crime, “the disarticulated gangs give an account of our work.”
