The new head of the ministerial cabinet, Hector Valer Pintophysically assaulted his daughter with “slaps, punches, kicks in the face and different parts of the body”, according to the details of the police report, whose certified copies were accessed by La República.
The complaint was filed at 2:14 a.m. on October 22, 2016, before the San Borja Police Station in Lima. The events had occurred just a few hours before, at around 11:30 pm on October 21.
The daughter of today’s premier, Catherine Urselia Valer Montoya (29 years old), went to the police headquarters to denounce the physical aggression by her father, Héctor Valer Pinto, “who slapped her, punched her, kicked her in the face and different body parts and hair pulling”, according to the police document.
But the daughter was not the only one who appeared that morning at the San Borja police station. Another of the victims was the wife Ana María Montoya Leo (who died in 2021). The Republic also agreed to the certified copy of this second one that he formulated together with her daughter.
According to the document, Héctor Valer gave his wife “a punch in the face and a push against the ground.” Both cases were referred on October 23 to a family court.
