Ysegul Bayir, a 35-year-old woman, was found alive after spending 205 hours in the rubble of a building in Kahramanmaras, where the first earthquake of magnitude 7.7 had its epicenter, and was taken to a hospital alive, according to reports. shown live on various television stations.

According to official data, more than 11,000 buildings collapsed during the earthquakes, many of them multi-story apartment blocks where rescue efforts are very complicated – heavy machinery is needed – and the victims are numerous.
Risklayer, a German risk analysis company, has warned that the final death toll could be between 75,000 and 90,000, with Turkish experts putting that toll as high as 155,000.
