This Monday began the I First Meeting of Young Parliamentarians for Peace and Integration of our America, at the headquarters of the National Assembly (AN), Federal Legislative Palace, Caracas.

Through its Twitter account, the AN highlighted that Venezuela, Colombia and Brazil resume the paths of reconciliation to jointly aim at building a multipolar world of equality and social justice.
In addition, he highlighted that young parliamentarians assume a starring role to guarantee future generations the social integration of peoples.
“The youth parliamentarians of these sister countries assume the generational commitment to set meeting points and agendas that guarantee future generations spaces for social integration,” published the AN.
Youth from Colombia, Russia and Brazil
Deputies from Colombia, Russia and Brazil participate in the First Meeting of Young Parliamentarians for Peace and Integration of our America, as reported by the First Vice President of the AN, Pedro Infante, who welcomed them.
“It is up to us to build a work agenda in favor of integration and peace in the world,” Infante stressed during the installation of the event.
In this sense, he said that the parliamentary youth have “the obligation to continue building the Free, Prosperous and Sovereign Homeland.”
We continue in the fight for independence
For her part, the second vice president of the AN, América Pérez, pointed out that the commitment of the Venezuelan youth is to continue fighting for the independence of Venezuela.
“We say with great force that the fight today of all the young people is for the absolute independence of Venezuela,” he added.
For the second vice president of the AN, this First Meeting of Young Parliamentarians is a space for debate.
“Four years later, today we have sealed the victory of Peace, of dialogue, of sovereignty and the integration of brotherly peoples,” he said.
Deputy América Pérez considers that “talking about changes is talking about new political processes from the south of the continent. We are proud to say that we are the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, where young people have a voice”.
In the same way, we can say that in Colombia the youth have also conquered struggles that make this meeting possible, where we can start a dialogue between our peoples and youth, where the young people and protagonists of these new eras meet.
He also stressed that when talking about peace is talking about that responsibility that falls “on our shoulders to maintain peace on this continent.”
Pérez emphasized that as brother countries, Venezuela and Colombia, “despite the fact that our governments do not understand each other, our peoples must always be united. An invisible border unites us. We are one people, we have a feeling that integrates and summons us, “he added.
Colombia: Protecting relations and common agenda
María Carrascal, deputy to the Congress of the Republic of Colombia, María Carrascal, affirmed that this meeting is committed to protecting relations and a common work agenda with Venezuela.
“We are here to reaffirm our commitment to protect brotherly relations and a common agenda,” he said.
Regarding the First Meeting of Young Parliamentarians for Peace and Integration of our America, the Colombian deputy said that they were “seven years divided, separated by decisions that are based on hate.”
He explained that since his arrival, they have seen the integration of women, youth and their participation in the political and social life of Venezuela.
“I am convinced that we will advance in the recovery of relations between both nations,” she emphasized.
Venezuela and Colombia: they must complete Bolívar’s dream
During the installation, it was the turn of the Venezuelan deputy, Grecia Colmenares, who indicated that the Colombian and Venezuelan legislators will work to “continue hoisting the flags of integration and peace.”
“Beyond the Diplomacy of Peace, I believe that there is a feat and historical cycle that leads us to conclude that dream of the Liberator, that dream we must continue to carry under the flags of America,” said the parliamentarian.
He commented that work tables will be held during the meeting, which will allow them to learn about the experiences of each country and work to guarantee integration.
“We continue to take firm steps towards peace, dialogue, diplomacy and integration,” he added.
Agenda of the meeting of young parliamentarians
With the realization of the First Meeting of Young Parliamentarians for Peace and Integration of our America, it is planned to form four working groups around the Borders of Peace, in order to evaluate the political, social and parliamentarians who preserve peace and the integration of peoples, in the face of the escalation of fascism, racism, discrimination and violence in Latin America, said a press release.
Another work group is called the Youth Parliamentary Agenda; The table on the Amazon will also be activated, which will analyze climate change and mitigation in the face of global warming.
